Tao of Twitter

Tao of Twitter was my favorite book that we have read in Media Writing. This book gave me vast amounts of knowledge on how to become a tweeting professional. Prior to this class, I had a twitter account for about a year, but I didn’t use it much because my tweeting skills weren’t all the great and I had no followers. However, The Tao of Twitter changed all that. I now know how to get followers; the answer was simply put in the book—by tweeting! You don’t have to be constant, just send out sporadic tweets throughout the day.

I also learned how to organize my followers and the people I chose to follow. I wasn’t aware that other tweeters could be grouped and organized. Now I can organize them anyway I like. They can be organized by family members, to friends and school related tweeters. This also can make checking twitter messages and keeping up to date on news and events more organized.

Lastly, before when I used to tweet, prior to Tao of Twitter, I had no idea if anyone was responding to my tweets. I would tweet my friends a question or comment and never hear back! I had no idea how to find their responding tweets, but the book answered that question. Now I can find tweets that I was involved with. Just one click on the connect tab. Twitter is so easy with Tao of Twitter guide.
